Our wellness visit recommendations are based on AAHA guidelines.

AHAA Vaccine Guidelines for Dogs:

Core Canine Vaccines:

·        Distemper Virus

·        Adenovirus (Hepatitis)

·        Parvovirus

·        Rabies

Non-Core Vaccines (Considered based on lifestyle and risk factors):

·        Leptospirosis

·        Bordetella (Kennel Cough)

·        Parainfluenza

·        Canine Influenza

·        Borrelia burgdorferi (Lyme disease)

 

Vaccination Schedule:

·        Puppies typically receive a series of vaccinations starting at 6-8 weeks of age, with boosters every 3-4 weeks until they are around 16 weeks old.

 

Adult Dog Vaccination Schedule: After the initial puppy series, dogs typically receive booster vaccinations at one year of age and then as determined.
